The Brooks Bandits are saddened to hear of the passing of Dave Hemsing, who served as Team President and as a Director.
The Bandits send their condolences to the Hemsing family and Dave’s friends and loved ones.
Statement from Team President, Paul Seaton:
Our organisation is extremely saddened at the passing of Dave Hemsing.
He was an outstanding Director at a most crucial time in our history, playing an integral role in navigating our franchise through difficulties.
He served four years on the Board of Directors and was President when we won our first National title in 2013.
To summarise his input, he simply got things done.
After stepping down from the Board he continued to support the organisation, volunteering when we hosted the Nationals and, even though struggling with illness, attended games right through to the end of last season.
He will be missed and always be remembered.
